Program-Specific Fees

Program-Specific Fees are fees students are required to pay in addition to tuition and mandatory non-tuition fees and are specific to the program/level.

• 3D Animation and Character Design Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• 3D Animation and Character Design Compulsory Field Trip Fee - covers a compulsory trip costs.

• Advanced Filmmaking Material Fee - provides an enhanced learning environment and maintains studio equipment used in the control rooms or studio areas and in the Advanced Filmmaking program. The fee's collected pay for equipment purchases and maintenance of equipment for a TV/Film Student Loans area so that students would borrow equipment for use in the field.

• Artisanal Culinary Arts Lab Fee - covers the costs associated with providing food for the labs and covers materials used in the production of items which become property of the students.

• Audio Post Production Studio Fee - maintains state of the art recording and sound production studios with emerging technology including contemporary software, hardware and peripherals.

• Broadcast Journalism - TV News Material Fee - provides funds to maintain current equipment in the Broadcast Journalism - Television News Program. The fee's collected support an enhanced learning environment and pay for equipment purchases and maintenance of equipment for a TV/Film Student Loans area.

• Broadcasting Radio (Radio Station & News Room Fee) - students gain experience in 24/7 use of emerging technology in the broadcast centre, teaching studios and remote access. The station continues to face more and higher license fees for broadcast rights and software costs. The fee also supports an awards event in April each year.

• Broadcasting Television & Broadcasting Television (Collaborative) Material Fee - provides funds needed to maintain current equipment in the Broadcasting - Television program. The fee's collected support an enhanced learning environment and pay for equipment purchases and maintenance of equipment for a TV/Film Student Loans area.

• Business Accounting Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• Business Administration Accounting Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• Business Administration - Leadership and Management Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• Business Administration Marketing Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• Business Information Systems Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• Business & Management Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• Collaborative/Joint Programs Distance Ed Fee - covers Distance Education fees charged by UWO for some courses.

• Collaborative Nursing Supply Kit Fee - for supplies that will be used in the laboratory portion of the practice courses and will be retained by the students for further practice after they have been used in the lab. The fee will enable bulk ordering and thereby reduce the cost to the students.

• Computer Programmer Analyst Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• Computer Systems Technician Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• Computer Systems Technology Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• Concierge Services Lab Fee - covers the costs associated with providing food for the labs and covers materials used in production of items which become the property of the students.

• Construction Carpentry Techniques Material Fee - covers materials used in the production of items which become the property of the students.

• Culinary Management Apprentice Lab Fee - covers the costs associated with providing food for the labs and covers materials used in production of items which become the property of the students.

• Culinary Management Lab Fee - covers the costs associated with providing food for the labs and covers materials used in production of items which become the property of the students.

• Culinary Skills - Chef Training Lab Fee - covers the costs associated with providing food for the labs and covers materials used in production of items which become the property of the students.

• Dental Assisting Lab Fee - includes supplies retained by the student, dosimeter service and an enhanced learning environment (use of UWO dental clinic and SIM clinic).

• Dental Hygiene Lab Fee - includes supplies retained by the student, dosimeter service and an enhanced learning environment (use of UWO clinic and SIM clinic).

• Fashion Design Fee - covers such items as materials used in the production of items which become the property of the students, enhanced learning environment through guest speakers, overnight field trip, Fashion Show production fee (retain marketing pkg), broker fees for professional membership.

• Fashion Merchandising Material Fee - covers such items as materials used for various course projects which are retained by the students, enhanced learning environment with emerging technology & workshops.

• Fine Art Foundation Material Fee - covers materials used in the production of items which become the property of the students.

• Fine Art Material Fee - covers materials used in the production of items which become the property of the students.

• Fitness and Health Promotion Fee - covers Fitness Membership Fee, CFC/CSEP Fee, and program specific enhanced learning environment.

• Food & Nutrition Management Lab Fee - covers the costs associated with providing food for the labs and covers materials used in production of items which become the property of the students.

• Game Development - Advanced Programming Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• GIS and Urban Planning Compulsory Field Trip Fee - covers a compulsory conference & overnight field trip.

• Golf & Recreational Club Management Lab Fee - covers the costs associated with providing food for the labs and covers materials used in production of items which become the property of the students.

• Hair Stylist (Woodstock) Material Fee - includes all materials that any hair stylist would need to begin their career. The entire package is provided to the student in a kit bag suitable for transporting the materials to and from school, salon, etc. and all materials are retained by the student throughout and after the program.

• Horticulture Technician Material Fee - covers equipment and clothing retained by the student; plus the Landscape Ontario membership.

• Hospitality Management - Food and Beverage Lab Fee - covers the costs associated with providing food for the labs and covers materials used in production of items which become the property of the students.

• Hospitality Management - Hotel Lab Fee - covers the costs associated with providing food for the labs and covers materials used in production of items which become the property of the students.

• Human Resources Management Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• Information Security Management Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• Interative Media Specialist Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• International Business Mgmt Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• International Business Management Lab Fee - covers materials used in the production of items which become the property of the students and Dining for Professional Success is a mandatory course within this program.

• Internet Applications and Web Development Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• Journalism - Broadcast Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• Journalism - Broadcast Radio Station & News Room Fee - covers access and experience students gain in 24/7 use of emerging technology in the broadcast centre, teaching studios and remote access. The station continues to face more and higher license fees for broadcast rights and software costs. The fee also supports an awards event in April each year.

• Landscape Design Material Fee covers learning materials equipment retained by the student.

• Marketing Management Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• Music Industry Arts Studio Fee - provides an enhanced learning environment and maintains state of the art recording and sound production studios with emerging technology including contemporary software, hardware and peripherals.

• Online Game Development Compulsory Field Trip Fee - covers a compulsory trip costs.

• Paramedic Fitness Membership Fee/Course Fee - includes collision avoidance, night/rural/city driving exercises which covers the cost of the skid pad rental and vehicle use; an auto extrication workshop which includes tools, equipment and the cost of transporting vehicles to the site.

• Personal Support Worker Supply & Curriculum Kit - provides supplies and curriculum that will be used in class and then retained by the students.

• Pharmacy Technician Lab Supplies Fee - for equipment that the student will use both here and in the workplace after graduation (e.g. spatulas), for additional materials which are retained by the students; and Fanshawe photo identification.

• Photography Advanced Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• Photography Connect Fee - covers access and support for specific software used in the program. It offsets the costs associated with providing the laptop program for students.

• Police Foundations (London) Fitness Membership Fee - for unlimited access membership to the Fanshawe College Fitness Centre Health Club.

• Police Foundations (Woodstock) Fitness Membership Fee - requires all levels of the Police Foundations program unlimited access to a gym facility for strength training; this fee covers the arrangement made with Good Life.

• Practical Nursing Supply Kit Fee - for supplies that will be used in the laboratory portion of the practice courses and will be retained by the students for further practice after they have been used in the lab. The fee will enable bulk ordering and thereby reduce the cost to the students.

• Theatre Arts Material Fee - covers materials used in the production of items which become the property of the students, supports guest speakers, artists and designers, entry to plays, festivals and workshops, as well as overnight field trips and resume photos.

• Tourism & Travel Lab Fee - covers the costs associated with providing food for the labs and covers materials used in production of items which become the property of the students.

• Visual Effects and Editing for Contemporary Media Material Fee - supports an enhanced learning environment and pay for equipment purchases and maintenance of equipment for a TV/Film Student Loans area. This program focuses on teaching the students high-end visual FX and animation techniques which require powerful computers, current software and plug-ins. The fee also pays for guest speakers for master classes.
