Ontario's Public Colleges are aware of the current labour disruption by the Ontario
Secondary School Teachers' Federation (OSSTF) in Durham Region, and the potential impact
of other ongoing labour negotiations around the province. Every effort is being made to
ensure applications continue to be processed and offers of admission are issued.
Colleges are sensitive to concerns that mid-term marks may be delayed in the event of a
strike, and any potential impacts to current applicants will be minimized. Ontario's
Public Colleges want to assure students and their families that we are working at a
provincial level with the Ministry of Education and Colleges Ontario to develop a
contingency plan that will allow students to complete the admissions process for any

everything they can to ensure current applicants are not disadvantaged by the current
labour situation. Ontario's Public Colleges will be monitoring the situation closely and
will update applicants as events unfold.
