Distinguished Teacher Award
Brian Lee - Photography

Over the past 37 years, Brian has seen Fanshawe from almost every angle - as a student, technician, teacher, and administrator. No matter his position or its responsibilities, he has always delivered his best for students. His influence is evident in several programs, including the innovative Media Theory and Production collaboration between Fanshawe and UWO. He also helped manage Fanshawe's switch to digital photography and has supported the industry through his leadership of various provincial and national photography boards. Thank you, Brian!

Distinguished PT Teacher Award winner, Dan Brodbeck

Distinguished Part-Time Teacher Award
Dan Brodbeck - Music Industry Arts

As a partner in London's Emac Studios, Dan brought valuable knowledge and experience to the Music Industry Arts program. He also provided his students with access to recording studios where they could put classroom theory into real world practice. Dan is noted for his commitment to teaching and for breaking ground with exciting new ideas. He achieved exceptional marks on his IFS surveys and was a very popular teacher throughout his time with the College. Congratulations, Dan!

Distinguished Team Award winners, United Way Committee

Distinguished Team Award - 2008 United Way Committee

Fanshawe aimed high and hit impressive targets with its annual United Way campaign last year. In fact, the 2008 campaign raised a record $72,627 to support people in need in our community - a result that reflects very well not only on the College, but on our tireless United Way Committee. Their leadership and enthusiasm turned a bright spotlight on the 2008 campaign, inspiring staff and students to organize a variety of relatively small events that produced an exceptionally grand total. I can't thank them enough for their hard work. Well done!

Distinguished Staff Award winner, Bonnie Goddery

Distinguished Staff Award
Bonnie Goddery
Dining Room Technician - Tourism & Hospitality

Bonnie has been a big part of Tourism & Hospitality and food service at Fanshawe for over 20 years. She is the model of service excellence, providing students and staff alike with a perfect example of professionalism, courtesy, and initiative. Bonnie has given her time to countless Fanshawe events including various galas and fundraising programs. Her hospitality is devoted equally and genuinely to everyone who visits Saffron's. Bonnie, thank you for all of your hard work. Congratulations!

Distinguished Program Award winners, Personal Support Worker

Distinguished Program Award - Personal Support Worker

Like all successful college programs, Fanshawe's Personal Support Worker program works because it addresses industry needs and prepares students to thrive in their jobs. The program is offered in five different locations, producing graduates who have a wealth of clinical placement experience to go with their exceptional classroom training. Over 90% of PSW graduates find jobs within six months of leaving Fanshawe - a ringing endorsement of our program's relevance and quality. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this remarkable program!

Distinguished Leadership Award winner, Deb Wilkin

Distinguished Leadership Award
Deb Wilkin
Manager - Centre for Academic Excellence

Deb's influence is felt throughout the entire College, thanks in large part to her work on Fanshawe's first Program Quality Assurance Audit and the new Program Quality Assurance Process - the framework we use to evaluate our programs and services. Fanshawe's quality assurance process is a model for the entire province. It is logical, relevant, responsive, and effective. In short, it is a reflection of Deb's leadership, and it has already paid big dividends for Fanshawe. Deb, thank you for your exemplary leadership on these and many other projects at Fanshawe and for colleges across Ontario!
