Anne Marie DeCicco-Best Honoured at Negev Dinner
Hosted by the Jewish National Fund - London chapter, this year's annual Negev Dinner honoured former London mayor and current Fanshawe College employee Anne Marie DeCicco-Best.
Anne Marie was recognized by the Jewish National Fund for her contributions to the City of London and her support for the Jewish community in London and for the State of Israel.
The fundraiser at the Best Western Lamplighter will support reforestation projects in London at Morning Park and in Israel at the Biriyya Forest, a historical landmark from the Israeli War of Independence and an area where many sites of religious significance are located.

The keynote speaker of the evening was famous Canadian political commentator Rex Murphy, who alternately entertained the audience with his sharp wit and provoked intense thought with his deep insights into the culture and political climate surrounding the Jewish people. Other speakers at the event included Federal MP Susan Truppe, Ontario Attorney General Chris Bentley, and Israeli Consul General Amir Gissin.
Fanshawe College representatives Emily Marcoccia and Dayan Boyce attended in support of Anne Marie, along with hundreds of guests from around London, including several past Negev Dinner honourees.
