Board of Governors' By-Election for Support Staff Rep

I am pleased to announce that Rubelyn Ubando has been acclaimed as the Support Staff Representative on the Board for the term March 3, 2010, to August 31, 2012, as a result of the recent Board of Governors' By-Election process. Rubelyn will be replacing Harold Sobel.

Rubelyn is the Student Information System Designate in the School of Language and Liberal Studies. In addition, she has managed the Mighty Falcon Dancers since 2006, and is the owner of Sweet Memories, a company which offers event planning services. In her spare time, Rubelyn volunteers at Ronald McDonald House with a group of other Fanshawe employees and plays in numerous sports leagues and clubs around the city including volleyball, squash, badminton, golf, and many other sports. She is a proud Fanshawe alumnus, student, and employee. She enjoys meeting new people and is always open for new and challenging tasks.

Rubelyn is a graduate of Fanshawe's Office Administration - Executive Program, and is currently enrolled in both the Human Resources and Corporate Communication certificate programs as a part-time student.

While attending Fanshawe, Rubelyn was the Student Union's Vice President, Athletics from 2005 to 2007 and the Information Technology's class representative.
