Careers That Work - Building Trades

July 14, 2009

On May 27, 2009, Fanshawe College welcomed 31 high school students for an introduction to careers in building trades. After a visit to the Cachet Reid residential building site at Huron Street and Highbury Avenue, the students enjoyed a barbecue lunch and a tour of the College.

While listening to guest speakers Denise Luksys, Project Coordinator, Facilities Management and Steve Done, architects Tillmann, Ruth, Mocellin, the visitors learned about the many apprenticeship opportunities available and were encouraged to consider a rewarding career in the building trades.
