Dennis Hunter Honoured with Provincial Award
Dennis Hunter, coordinator of Fanshwe's Anesthesia Assistant program and faculty member in the Respiratory Therapy program, has been honoured by his professional colleagues at a recent provincial educators' forum. The Pinnacle Award is presented by the Respiratory Therapy Society of Ontario to a respiratory therapist in Ontario who has contributed to the profession in a unique manner and shown dedication to the profession.

In his nomination form, Paul Williams, coordinator of the Respiratory Therapy program said, "Dennis Hunter has been a strong leader and advocate of the RTSO for over 30 years. He is a past RTSO Director and has chaired many professional and educational events over the years on behalf of the RTSO. As an educator at Fanshawe College, Dennis has always led by example to both his colleagues and students."
"Dennis' perseverance and dedication to the profession are ongoing in his current role as Coordinator of the Anesthesia Assistant program at Fanshawe College. He has been instrumental at both the provincial and national levels with his determination and expertise to develop the Anesthesia Assistant role in Ontario and Canada. The RTSO and our profession are very fortunate to benefit from individuals like Dennis and because of his ongoing dedication to our profession I nominated Dennis Hunter for the 2009 RTSO Pinnacle Award."Congratulations Dennis!
