Facilities Update: June 13, 2008
June 13, 2008
Work is underway to replace the existing original HVAC systems in A Building with new ventilation systems, improving overall system efficiency. The existing heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems will be replaced and upgraded to deliver enhanced air quality throughout the building.
Some inconvenience may occur as existing systems will not be operational, with the exception of heating and air conditioning units within the area that serve all classrooms and offices. The use of cranes will expedite the process but may interrupt specific parking and roadway access. All changes will be clearly indicated. Some corridors will need to be closed and classrooms and offices either relocated or closed during lifting operations for safety reasons. This will be communicated directly with the areas affected; please watch for future updates.
Renovations are to be completed by August 31, 2008.
On behalf of Facilities, apologies go out to faculty and students who experience inconvenience over the course of the project. Patience and understanding is, as always, greatly appreciated.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact Doug Calder, Project Coordinator at (519) 452-4430 ext. 4655 or dcalder@fanshawec.ca.
