Fanshawe Clean & Green for Earth Day

April 20, 2012

Fanshawe's Police Foundations (PFT) students and faculty wanted to show how much pride they take in their College and community, so they organized a "Clean & Green" campus and community cleanup on April 20, 2012, just ahead of Earth Day.

Students and faculty donned vinyl gloves and spread out across Fanshawe's London campus and neighbouring streets, including Fleming Drive and Thurman Circle, picking up litter.

PFT program coordinator Jon Kunder emphasized that policing and law enforcement is community-based and that focus is very much a part of future careers for the students.

"Every one of our students who participated today felt a great sense of pride, dedication and team work. We have many students that we are so proud of, no matter where life takes them upon graduation from Fanshawe," said Kunder.

"What a great place to call home!"
