Fanshawe College Congratulates Graduating Employees

While we celebrate the graduation of all our students, we would also like to recognize those employees who both work and study at Fanshawe. Congratulations to the following staff members who will cross the stage with the other 5,500 graduates during June 2009 convocation ceremonies!

Maria Lavdas - Business Analyst, Project Management Office
Maria is graduating from Fanshawe's Project Management program. She has worked at Fanshawe College for more than two years. This is Maria's second graduation from the College - the first was in 1994 when she completed the Human Resources Management certificate program. Maria is also a graduate of McMaster University.

Amy Gillanders - Customer Service Representative, Office of the Registrar
Amy is graduating from the Office Administration program. She has worked at the College full-time since December of 2007. Amy also worked part-time at Fanshawe for two and a half years in the Student Success Centre.

Wendy Bradburn - Customer Service Representative, School of Design
Wendy is graduating from the Office Administration program. She started work full-time at the College in September 2008 in the Office of the Registrar. Wendy also worked part-time for a year and a half before that in Human Resources.

Christine Budden - Assistant to the Chair, School of Contemporary Media
Christine is graduating from the Human Resources Management program. She has worked at Fanshawe since August 2007, starting in the Office of the Registrar. This is her second graduation from Fanshawe - the first was Office Administration - Executive.

Jeannie Whitty - Scheduling/SWF Representative, School of Information Technology
Jeannie is graduating from the Computerized Office Essentials program. In 1998 Jeannie graduated from Computer Systems Support. Jeannie is currently enrolled in her last course towards a Bachelor of Education in Adult Education from Brock University and expects to graduate this fall. Jeannie started work at the College on a part-time basis in May 1996 and became a full-time College employee in June 1997.

Wendy Bradburn (left), School of Design and Amy Gillanders, Office of the Registrar will cross the stage on Tuesday, June 16 at 2:00 p.m. as graduates of the Office Administration program. They became good friends while working together in the Office of the Registrar and discovered they were both interested in the same Continuing Education program. Wendy and Amy took all their classes together and have remained close friends even though they now work in different departments of the College. Both are very proud to be graduating together and look forward to being Fanshawe College alumni.
