Fanshawe Donates $106,388!
Fanshawe College came through in a record-breaking way for the United Way with its highest contribution ever. Across all campuses, the College will donate $106,388 to the United Way, with $100,001 going to the London & Middlesex campaign. On Thursday, January 27 in the Student Union Building at the London Campus, Fanshawe President Dr. Howard Rundle presented the cheque to Mr. Andrew Lockie, CEO, United Way of London & Middlesex. This year’s donation from the College’s staff, students and retirees is an increase of nearly 11% from Fanshawe’s 2009 contribution of $95,848.
For the first time, Fanshawe College set a six-digit goal, aiming to raise $100,000 across all campuses.
"What we are really celebrating is Fanshawe’s investment in the betterment of our community," said United Way’s CEO, Andrew Lockie. "The generosity of Fanshawe’s faculty, staff, retirees and students will help United Way create lasting change right here in London and Middlesex County."
