Fanshawe Grad Wins Art of Fashion Competition
In early October, Fanshawe Fashion Design (2011) grad, Rebecca Collins won the Art of Fashion 2011 'Best Exhibit' award. Prior to winning, she had been selected with nine other Canadian designers to vie for one of the Show's two prestigious awards - 'Most Promising Designer' and 'Best Exhibit'. The finalists displayed their collections for both public voting and distinguished judges.
According to Leigh-Ann Waller, coordinator of Fanshawe's Fashion Design program, "It was a great event that attracted many people who were passionate about fashion. It was so crowded, people could hardly move around but there was great energy in the room and it was an excellent opportunity for Rebecca to show her work."
