Fanshawe Supports Student Success - Student Award Ceremonies

Five student awards ceremonies were held in the James A. Colvin Atrium between October 8 and November 26, 2008.

These events recognize students for their outstanding achievements in many areas including academics, entrepreneurship, athletics, participation in student life activities and community service.

A total of more than $90,000 was disbursed through 197 awards issued to students in the Faculty of Technology, Faculty of Business, School of Health Sciences, School of Human Services, School of Nursing and the School of Contemporary Media.

Many donors were in attendance at these events to meet the recipients and their families, and to personally present the student awards.

Several smaller presentations were made over the last few weeks including the following:

• London Training Centre Culinary Management Bursary
• W. J. Pillsworth Award
• Canadian Millennium Foundation In-Progress Excellence Awards
• StarTech.com Business Administration Marketing Bursary
• General Dynamics Bursary
