Fashion Design Grad at Vancouver Fashion Week

November 8, 2010

Carmina Young London-based fashion designer Carmina Young (left) took her Spring/Summer 2011 collection to Vancouver Fashion Week on November 4, 2010.

Carmina graduated from Fanshawe's Fashion Design program in 2009 and quickly began promoting her "Carmina De Young" label, participating in several fashion shows including Fanshawe's Unbound, "Fashion On Fire" hosted by Studio H, and aboard the P.S. Trillium in Toronto, hosted by MexProCan.

When she's not busy raising her two children with her husband David Young, Carmina works passionately towards her dream of being a household name in the fashion industry, sometimes working through the night on her collection.

Carmina's creations are modern, daring and contemporary with Latin elegance and close attention to detail from design to stitching.

Carmina's clothing inspires a sense of confidence and self-assurance in the wearer, while showcasing her own artistic vision and sense of adventure, combining the modern sensibility of urban life with a romantic Spanish past.

Carmina is also working with Laura Welsh of London developing a line of fashion accessories such as hats, necklaces and scarves that complement Carmina Young's designs.

With the release of her collection in November, Carmina plans to have her clothing available for purchase by appointment and on her company website later this year. For more information email Carmina at carmina@carminadeyoung.com or visit her website at http://www.carminadeyoung.com/.
