Letters and Arts Guest - George Sipos

The Fanshawe College Letters and Arts Society is proud to host George Sipos, poet and author of The Geography of Arrival, a memoir of growing up in London, Ontario.

For more than 20 years George Sipos was the leading bookseller in Prince George where he operated Mosquito Books. He left the book trade in 2005 to become manager of the Prince George Symphony. That year he also released his first book of poetry, Anything But the Moon (Goose Lane Editions, 2005) which was nominated for the Dorothy Livesay BC Book Prize.

Sipos was born in Budapest and raised in London, Ontario. Currently he lives on Salt Spring Island where he is the Executive Director of ArtSpring, Salt Spring's visual and performing arts centre. His latest book The Geography of Arrival uses local London landmarks as Chapter focal points. All are welcome!
