degree program on September 8, 2009.
Students in Fanshawe's three-year Business Administration - Accounting and Marketing programs who meet all grade requirements are eligible to receive articulation credit to complete a three-year Bachelor of Commerce degree through Nipissing. Students will complete the program in 12 months on-site at Fanshawe College. The program is in a blended delivery mode - online learning led by Nipissing professors combined with facilitator-led classroom sessions at Fanshawe. Students receive the same student services benefits as current Fanshawe students.
Students participated in the kickoff orientation program on September 8 hosted jointly by Nipissing and Fanshawe. The first class consists of 23 students who are alumni of the Lawrence Kinlin School of Business.
According to Mary Pierce, chair of Fanshawe's Lawrence Kinlin School of Business, "This program is a wonderful way for our students to complete their degree without having to leave Fanshawe College. It gives students another pathway that is convenient, affordable and a quality business program."
Bob Carpenter, Dean of Nipissing University's School of Business and Economics, said, "We are delighted to be partnering with Fanshawe College in this venture and look forward to growing this program."
