Ontario Building Officials Support Building Technology at Fanshawe College

A special tour was held on May 1, 2009 to showcase the School of Building Technology.

The Ontario Building Officials Association (OBOA) - Southwest Chapter have generously established an academic award in the Building Technology program. Fanshawe College Foundation invited the association to come to the College for a tour.

Seventeen members of the OBOA joined Dan Douglas, Chair of the School of Building Technology and Catherine Finlayson, Executive Director of Fanshawe College Foundation for a private tour of the College. Eight of the chapter members were Fanshawe alumni and all were very impressed with the facilities and appreciative of the continued relationship with Fanshawe College.

The award was established to recognize academic excellence for a student in the Building Code course who has demonstrated an interest in pursuing a career in Building inspection or a related field.
