Photography Student Wins National Award

Brittany Nagora, a second-year Fanshawe Photography Student, won best in the Portrait Category at the 2009 National Student Competition of the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC). The competition was judged May 21 and 22, 2009, in Regina at the PPOC National Convention. Students from colleges across Canada submitted images to the competition. Brittany's winning image is called Gentle Marionette.
Gentle Marionette by Fanshawe Photography student Brittany Nagora won the award for best portrait at this year's PPOC student competition in Regina.
In addition to the major award, several students had images accepted in the show:
- Julie Clifford - two images accepted, Buseater and Beautiful Nonsense;
- Janalla Janzen - two images accepted, Dart Boards and A Man's Best Friend;
- Kamini Le Capelain - two images accepted, Eating the Rainbow and Holding Her Life in My Hand;
- Sebastian Montoya - three images accepted, You Rock, City and V-Sharp;
- Tamia Muller - two images accepted, Angelix and Mellowdrama;
- Brittany Nagora - one Merit image, Gentle Marionette and two accepted images, Mother's Touch and Peaceful.
