Reminder: Smoking on Campus Is Restricted toDesignated Outdoor Smoking Areas
Enclosed workplaces and public places include offices, parking garages, vehicles used for work purposes, restaurants, bars, schools, private clubs, sports arenas and entertainment venues. Smoking is not permitted where there is a roof and more than two walls, or within 10 metres from any doorway or ventilation intake.
"No Smoking" signs are posted on College property accordingly. Smoking on College property is only permitted in Designated Outdoor Smoking Areas.
In accordance with Policy 1-F-01, and out of consideration for the health and comfort of others, please stay within the Designated Outdoor Smoking Areas if smoking on College property.
Offences may be dealt with under the provisions of the Student or Employee Codes of Conduct. Additionally, public health inspectors regularly enforce the provincial legislation, and non-compliance can result in individual fines of $1,000 for a first offence and $5,000 for repeat offences.
