Student Research and Innovation Day

March 21, 2012

On April 4, 2012, Fanshawe College will host the first annual Student Research and Innovation Day in the James Colvin Atrium of our London Campus. This event will feature the research and innovation work by students from across the College who have submitted their capstone, team, degree, and course projects for display and evaluation. The students will showcase their work to the College community, as well as the London corporate and industrial sectors.

There will be presentations in the Arts/Humanities, Media and Design, Business, Health Sciences/Human Services, and Science/Technology categories. The projects will then be evaluated on format, layout, logic of presentation, and the presenter’s ability to answer questions about their work. There will be prizes in every category in the range of $1,000 for first place, $500 for second place, $300 for thirrd place, and $100 for participants.

Wes From, Vice President of Engineering at Trojan Technologies will give the keynote address in Room T1003, London Campus, at 1:00 p.m.

Student exhibits open at 2:30 p.m. in the James A. Colvin Atrium, B Building (London Campus). Refreshments and light lunch will be available.

Awards will be presented at 4:30 p.m. in the James A. Colvin Atrium, B Building (London Campus).
