Support Staff Strike Update

September 14, 2011

From the beginning of the Support Staff strike, the College has stressed the importance of everyone’s safety.  We have distributed information liberally about “How to Cross a Picket Line.”  We have urged everyone to be patient and respectful.  It is imperative that we all remain focused on being orderly, safe and respectful for the duration of the strike.

We have all experienced delays crossing the picket lines; some instances have been longer than others.  Please be reminded to leave lots of extra time to get to school.  If at all possible, do not drive onto campus – take the bus, walk, ride a bike.  If you must drive, be sure to allow yourself extra time.  Please review How to Cross the Picket Line http://www.fanshawec.ca/sites/default/files/Picket%20Line%20Flyer_0.docx

If you are late or miss a class as a delay at the picket line, please be sure to contact your instructor.

Thank you for your ongoing patience.  We all hope the strike will be short-lived and that things will return to normal as soon as possible.
