Traffic Update From Facilities Management
May 30, 2008
Please take note of the following changes: vehicle access will be restricted in the laneway between A Building and D Building, as well as in Courtyard Way which runs along the north and east sides of B Building and intersects with Oxford Lane. Southern entrances will be blocked by concrete planter boxes to prevent unauthorized vehicles from accessing these areas.
Secondly, delivery vehicles will no longer have access to Fanshawe Boulevard at M, H, F and E Building. They will be redirected to areas where traffic is significantly less, such as Garden Gate at the north-east corner of campus and Campus Drive, located along the west side of the college. Signage will be posted in areas where appropriate.
Facilities Management is continuously looking to improve campus grounds. Implementing specific vehicle restrictions will eliminate parked vehicles in high-traffic areas, reducing traffic congestion and opening laneways to public access. It will improve the safety and circulation of pedestrians, vehicles and transit.
Stay tuned for further improvements as Facilities Management works to improve pedestrian and traffic safety and optimize circulation on campus.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
