Social Service Worker (Fast Track)

Accelerate through Fanshawe's Social Service Worker program in just 10 months!

If you have a Social Sciences Degree or a Human Services Diploma you may qualify for Fanshawe's Social Services Worker Fast-Track option - where you can complete all academic and field practicum components in just 10 months!

You'll build a sound knowledge of human behaviour, and individual and social problems and learn proven helping techniques to prepare you for social service work practice in social agencies and social welfare programs.

Learning focuses on role-plays, counselling labs, case studies, and presentations from professional social workers and clients.

You'll also gain invaluable experience in a variety of field placements in London - a leader among communities - with its extensive social service and health community resources.

And you'll have lots of support from friendly, experienced faculty and advisors who are committed to help you succeed. When you graduate, you'll be prepared for work in a variety of areas including anti-violence, corrections, addictions, education, crisis intervention and community development.

You'll also be eligible for admission into the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
