Summer ESL Career Exploration Program

Fanshawe offers you a unique opportunity to learn English, Canadian culture, and an understanding of the career paths available through the College’s academic programming. Whether you are considering a diploma, advanced diploma, or degree option, Fanshawe College has a wide range of options for you to choose from in a number of exciting and promising fields of study. Fanshawe College also offers a number of pathways to other post-secondary programming, including bachelor degrees at Canadian universities like Western University, University of Toronto, and University of Ottawa.

Program includes 

English as a Second Language (ESL) 

The English as a Second Language (ESL) program is provided through Fanshawe College’s English Language Institute, which is fully accredited by Languages Canada. It provides an opportunity for you to improve your English language ability while meeting students from all over the world. Included in the program is 15 hours of ESL instruction per week. You will develop your skills in grammar, reading and writing, listening and speaking, and pronunciation. Course materials will be provided to you. 

Canadian culture 

Let us introduce you to Canadian culture through afternoon activities and weekend excursions to some of Canada’s most famous destinations, including Toronto and Niagara Falls. Visit some of our Great Lakes and experience Canadian wildlife first hand. 

Explore your career options 

You have so many decisions to make with regard to your career. We will provide you with a first-hand look at the different industries and careers available through the academic programming offered at Fanshawe College and through our partner institutions in Canada and around the world. Tours, lectures, and demonstrations by industry professionals are all included in the Summer ESL + Career Exploration Program! 

Dates

The Summer ESL + Career Exploration Program is designed as a three-week program: 

Camp 1: June 18 - July 9, 2023

Camp 2: July 16 - August 6, 2023

Accommodations 

On-campus dormitory (Residence) or Homestay options are available. 

Program includes 

  • ESL course work (3 weeks) & course materials

  • Bus tickets provided for travel within the City of London
