The Fanshawe Falcons Men's and Women's Volleyball teams are ranked in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) top 15 for the seventh week in a row.
In the first national ranking of 2018, the Men's Volleyball team (11-0) moved up to #4 in the country. Over the break, the Falcons competed in the York tournament and went 3-2 against University competition.
Up next, the Falcons will be travelling internationally on their NCAA tour, where they will play four games in three different states. Fanshawe opened up the trip on January 11, 2018, against Springfield College, who are the reigning NCAA Division III National Champions. The Falcons will return to league play on January 18, when they host second place Redeemer at 8 p.m. Other OCAA Men's Volleyball teams that are ranked nationally include Georgian (7), Humber (11) and Redeemer (12).
The Fanshawe Women's Volleyball team (10-1) are ranked #14 nationally this week and currently sit in first place in the OCAA West Division. Most recently, the Falcons went 5-0 at the Durham tournament, winning the Adidas Cup title. Fanshawe will look to use that momentum going into their first league game of the new year on January 18 versus Redeemer (2-7) at 6 p.m. Other OCAA Women's Volleyball teams represented in the CCAA rankings include Humber (4) and Niagara (15).
