Stronger Together, Tous Ensemble, Sunday 6:30 PM.

This celebration will salute Canadian front-line workers while raising funds in support of Canadian food banks $150 million campaign to provide immediate support for Canadian food banks during the COVID-19 pandemic. The 90-minute commercial-free program will involve Canadian musicians, actors, authors, activists such as, Céline Dion, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Hayley Wickenheiser, David Suzuki, Arkells, Bryan Adams, Shania Twain and many, many more.

Fanshawe broadcast students Vanda Di Michele, Zane Kane, Abe Peters, and Ethan Ralph are preparing the campaign for on-air promotion. This opportunity provides unique challenges during COVID-19 as they are working from home without access to the full broadcast environment.

Professor Michael Stoparczyk says, “We are looking forward to participating in this event and supporting Canadian front-line workers and the Canadian food banks through our broadcast partners who do so much for our programs.”

Fanshawe’s broadcasting students and staff thank the National Campus & Community Radio Association who made the agreement with the broadcasters and are making it available to us.

Professor Stoparczyk continued, “We are proud to support the cause and equally pleased that we can use our College radio station and social media platforms to support this event. It is extremely important for us to use 106.9 The X to reach out and encourage our listening audience to actively participate and show our support for the front-line workers who are keeping us safe. As a fully licensed CRTC station, it is essential that our services support our community through our broadcasting programs at Fanshawe College.”
