While Fanshawe continues to monitor the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the College is also looking ahead to when the province returns to normal operations.
Recognizing that many people may be looking for job search assistance, Community Employment Services Fanshawe is currently offering virtual workshops on topics ranging from career exploration to maintaining mental wellness while job searching and providing one-on-one mock interviews. These free services, open to all Londoners, may help people who are interested in exploring retraining, new career direction or successful job search preparation.
The College’s employment consultants are available to help create resumes and cover letters, creating strong LinkedIn profiles and using social media to network virtually to find connections with organizations who may be hiring both now and in the future.
“Many people contacting us are using this unprecedented time as an opportunity to do some career soul-searching and thinking about new opportunities they have not had time to explore before because they were too busy,” says Lisa Rusal, assistant manager, Employment and Student Entrepreneurial Services. “Our committed career professionals have the tools to provide career direction and retraining to help clients prepare for a successful job search.”
Ms. Rusal is available to talk about how Fanshawe can help prepare clients for new careers when COVID-19 has passed.
