Fanshawe students from Interactive Media Design and User Experience Design are collaborating with the Srishti Foundation Canada and Publiq Media to develop a website and advertising campaign for the Brothers in Arms Memorial in London, Ontario.

As part of their final project, students work in teams and they will present their plan to the clients on:

  • March 6 at 1 p.m.
  • April 10 at 1 p.m.

The top three teams will be selected to present during the program’s Industry Night Event on April 24 where the winner will be announced.

The Srishti Foundation Canada is creating a Brothers in Arms memorial – the first of its kind in Canada – to commemorate the valour of Indian and Canadian soldiers who fought side-by-side on the Western Front during World War I.

The memorial encourages future generations to uphold the values of humanity and freedom. In addition, it highlights the soldiers’ heroism, sacrifices, challenges and emotions as well as their shared experiences of battle.

The memorial will be on Veterans Memorial Parkway at the southwest corner of the intersection of Veteran’s Memorial Parkway and Hamiliton Road. The project will be completed in two phases – the first phase had 108 trees planted in a Guard of Honour formation while the second phase will have a stone memorial.
