Application Timeline

This timeline applies to domestic applicants. If you are an international student, contact our International Centre to learn about timelines for international applicants.

Early October: Online applications open

Applications available on ontariocolleges.ca

November 1: The college begins sending offers of admission

Offers will be sent to eligible applicants in non-competitive programs from this date until the program is full or until studies for that term begin, whichever is first. To view the status of your application, log in to your WebAdvisor account.

February 1: Equal consideration date

All applications received by ontariocolleges.ca by February 1 will be given equal consideration in the application process.

A number of our programs are competitive (we have more qualified applicants than available seats). For these programs, it is crucial to ensure your application is made by February 1.

Note: applicants to the Anesthesia Assistant program have a unique equal consideration date of April 1. Applicants received after this date will be considered on a first come, first served basis.

March 30: Competitive Offers 

Offers to competitive programs will be sent by this date.

May 1: Deadline to confirm offers of admission

This is the most common deadline to accept Fanshawe's offer of admission on ontariocolleges.ca. After May 1, your offer may be revoked. If your program is currently closed or waitlisted on ontariocolleges.ca, your offer must be accepted by your confirmation deadline to secure your seat in the program. Unconfirmed offers may be reassigned to waitlisted applicants. 

After May 1, the Admissions team will be reviewing space in all programs. 

Waitlisted Applicants

If you have received a waitlist decision, we encourage you to accept it. The Registrar's Office may call you any time between May and the start of term to offer admission into the program. Applicants who accept a waitlist offer can confirm their position on the waitlist beginning in early May. Ensure the phone number and email address on your WebAdvisor account are correct. 

Late Applicants and Offers

• If you receive an offer after mid-April, you will have two weeks to confirm your offer. 
• Offers given 1-3 weeks before the start of term will require confirmation within one week. 

Deadline to pay tuition deposit

Fall intake: Mid-June

Winter intake: Mid-November

Summer intake: Mid-March

Payment of your non-refundable tuition deposit secures your seat in the program. Details will be mailed and emailed to you in advance. Refer to your invoice for your specific deadline as this date is dependent on the timing of your application and acceptance of your offer. Find more information on fee dates and payment options.

Deadline to meet your admissions conditions

Fall intake: August 15

Winter intake: December 15

Summer intake: April 15

Fanshawe College must have your final transcripts showing high school (or college or university) graduation and final grades in all required courses proving you have met all admissions conditions by these deadlines. If you have not met your admissions conditions, your offer will be revoked, but we can work with you on attending in a future term.
