This course is the first of a two part course incorporating introductory aspects of anatomy and physiology, emphasizing normal structure and function and the recognition of various homeostatic imbalances. The hierarchical organization of the human body, the intimate relationship between structure and function, and the impact of development, maturation and aging on the body are emphasized.
