Supervision & Administration in ECE - Microcredential

Supervision & Administration will explore the essential skills required for effective supervision and administration in Ontario's child care centers. Students will learn how to manage the day-to-day operations, foster a safe and nurturing environment, and lead teams effectively. By the end of this course, students will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to excel in an administrative role of a child care center. Learning Outcomes: 1. Understand the core principles of effective supervision and administration in a child care center in Ontario. 2. Demonstrate the ability to create and implement administrative processes that ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of a child care center. 3. Analyze and address common challenges and issues that supervisors face in child care centers. 4. Develop effective communication and leadership skills necessary for managing staff and interacting with parents and stakeholders. 5. Identify and apply best practices for ensuring the safety and well-being of children in a child care setting. 6. Create a plan for professional growth and development as a supervisor in the field of early childhood education. Total course hours - 15
