Student Success Story

Prior to participating in the TESL program, I had taught English as a Foreign Language in Saudi Arabia for twelve years.  Upon returning to Canada, I wanted to obtain my TESL Ontario accreditation in order to begin teaching English to adult learners.  Although I had a wealth of experience, I found great value in both the theory and practicum courses.  During the practicum courses, I was able to gain experience in a variety of field settings, including English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC).  Based on my participation in the program and the accreditation it granted, I am now teaching within a LINC program as well as supply teaching in the EAP setting at a private organization.
