Promoting Leadership in the Skilled Trades
The Canerector Scholars Program is available to students enrolled in eligible skilled trade programs with an interest in leadership. Scholars may receive an initial $1,000 tuition payment, as well as a $1,000 tuition payment per academic term for the duration of their program (up to $7,000). $100,000 is available to be allocated annually to scholars.
The Canerector Foundation has generously established this program to support recruitment, retention, and employability in the field of skilled trades.

Eligibility
Applicants must:
- be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or protected person/refugee;
- be enrolling in a full time, first year, eligible skilled trade program starting in fall 2025.
Renewal criteria: To keep their scholarship, recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate participation in a mentorship activity throughout every level of their program.
Selection Criteria
You must meet the following criteria to be in contention for the scholarship:
- have an admission average of 70% or above upon application;
- answer the following question: Please describe why you are interested in a career in the skilled trades, and what positive impact you hope to make in the industry. 500 word maximum.

Architectural Technology (co-op) (ATY1) - Advanced Diploma
Building Renovation Technology (co-op) (BRY1) - Advanced Diploma
Civil Engineering Technology (co-op) (CEY2) - Advanced Diploma
Construction Engineering Technology - Management (co-op) (CMY3) - Advanced Diploma
