Overview

Needs Analysis Intro

Many companies and community organizations are faced with putting together a structured rationale to improve the current situation in their organization, including expansion of services and products, training or re-training of staff or problems that need to be solved for the benefit of groups or the general population. This course will provide an overview of the design of a needs analysis proposal, the primary important document provided to decision makers to generate the initiation of positive change. Students will develop competencies in identifying gap discrepancies, planning, designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research methods through interviewing and survey design practice. They will also gain experience in compiling a needs analysis training plan which can be adapted to a real life setting. The designing of a training plan will also be discussed. This course is offered through OntarioLearn by the host college, Conestoga college.
