Ready to Work

Building on the success of the Rising Leaders micro-credential, providing students with professional and personal development opportunities outside of the classroom, Ready Set Work will provide upcoming and recent grads with the knowledge and skills needed to enter the workplace upon program completion. 

Students will be required to complete pre-work online in preparation for the synchronous class time, Learners will hone and develop their interpersonal skills, networking skills, and confidence by participating in group informational interviews with professionals and develop their critical thinking and collaboration skills by examining case studies in detail with their peers. 

Learning Outcomes: 

1. Create and utilize tools of self-promotion, including emails, elevator pitches, resumes, etc.
2. Demonstrate appropriate job interview techniques
3. Develop effective strategies and skills for personal work search and career management.
4. Effectively articulate personal strengths and blind spots as they relate to work to best prepare for workplace expectations including job interviews and team work
