Computer Applications in Human Resources

This course will provide an understanding and the fundamental principles of a Microsoft Excel as applied to human resource management related problems. Lectures and demonstrations support the hands-on computer projects. A series of laboratory projects leads the student through the critical issues of spreadsheet-based database design, and demonstrates the potential needs which computers have in this field. A series of laboratory projects will give students practice in applying the basic and advanced features of Excel in the HR environment. Lectures will provide the necessary background required to successfully complete the projects. This course is offered through OntarioLearn by the host college, Durham college.
