Eco Tourism & Social Media Marketing

Students will have the opportunity to explore and apply the basic foundations of marketing an eco-tourism experience. During this condensed course, students will understand the effectiveness of social media, and how to develop a campaign that utilizes the variety of social marketing platforms. By combining their skills of photography, program development and field sessions students will develop the necessary skills to create and explore this unique and powerful tool. Through hands-on experience, students will create their own social media campaigns as part of their learning environment. Investigating its effectiveness and making educated decisions on how the various social media platforms will perform based on media content and live analysis. Primarily designed as a hands on course students will be able to develop the necessary skills required to set up, manage and maintain an effective social media campaign.
