Pre-Clinical Readiness IEN

This simulated clinical practice course facilitates nursing stream students to continue developing their holistic health assessment and nursing skills/techniques. Through simulated clinical practice, students demonstrate application and integration of previous learning and knowledge development regarding nursing competencies, standards, and guidelines. Students have opportunities to develop their relational practice abilities, interprofessional collaborative client-centred practice, clinical judgment, time management, and organizational skills. Successful completion of this course can assist students to meet the entry to practice competencies for Registered Nurse (RN) practice on Ontario and facilitate their successful transition to practicing nursing in Ontario healthcare settings in the RN role.
