Medical Office Procedures
Medical office procedures will cover administrative and clerical functions including patient reception, scheduling appointments appropriate to patient needs, telephone procedures, medical records management and charting of progress notes, verbal and non-verbal communication with patients, computerization and the medical office, financial records, personal conduct, medical ethics and law. The Canada Health Act will be introduced as well as OHIP and the principles of OHIP medical billing.
