Overview
Pharmacology PN
This course focuses on essential assessment, nursing interventions, specific age-related considerations and client education for each drug classification. An emphasis is placed on the study of drugs and their action in the human body related to the nursing practice with a focus on Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) roles/responsibilities and safe medication administration. Key drugs or prototypes within each drug classification are identified. Students have opportunities to develop critical thinking and critical thinking skills in relation to drug therapy in certain health conditions.
