Overview
Safe Interpretive Experiences
This course will introduce the students to the various levels of interpretation skills and the types of situations an interpreter might encounter while dealing with cross-cultural experiences. As a group leader/interpreter students will be challenged with the skill of balancing the interpretive message, group dynamics and maintaining a positive environment. In addition, they will also learn about client safety and the key concerns when evaluating risk management and the client. As an interpreter, they will also have the ability to asses a variety of situations and be able to make effective decisions prior to engaging in any interpretive experience.
