Occupational Hygiene

This course is designed to introduce students to the historical background, current status and basic concepts of occupational hygiene recognition, evaluation, and control of health hazards in the workplace environment and to relate the role of the industrial hygienist to other professionals in the occupational health team. Topics covered include: classification of chemical, biological, and physical stresses, legislation, toxicology, recognition, evaluation and control of hazards. Note: Recommend students have a good knowledge of science.
