Aviation English Language Preparation

The course is designed to provide non-native speakers of English the speaking and listening skills necessary to be successful in the Commercial Flight and Aviation Leadership program at Fanshawe College. Emphasis will be placed on the following areas: - Learning vocabulary, terminology, and abbreviations essential for aviation leaders - Giving and receiving commands relating to commercial flying - Enhancing pronunciation, structure, fluency, and comprehension in oral communication - Role playing various scenarios simulating cockpit and air traffic control tower-style communications - Listening for intonation, stress, tone and rhythm in aviation-related communications - Learning the nuances of interacting with those in the aviation industry.
