Drafting for Men's Tailoring - Jackets will provide the student with hands on and theoretical experience to boost their skill level to work as a tailor in the entertainment industry, retail space or simply to learn new sewing techniques. Within the course of study, students will learn a variety of techniques to draft jackets beginning with basic blocks and advancing to period shapes. Basic sewing skills are required for student success. Learning Outcomes: 1. Draft basic blocks for men using specific measurements. 2. Draft patterns jackets using a selection of period and modern shapes. 3. Interpret a sketch and create the pattern for jackets. 4. Understand the construction to develop a jackets. 5.
