Post-Admission Requirements
The following items are applicable to the program and are time
sensitive:
Immunizations
- Proof of immunizations are required to be submitted prior to first class In accordance with Ambulance Service Communicable Disease Standard
- Students cannot proceed to field or clinical placement without proof of immunization
- Refer to mandatory immunization record

Class 'F' Driver's License
- Required by December 31st, prior to term two
- Prerequisite for Ambulance Operations course
Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Required prior to first class
- Including a check of the Pardoned Sexual Offenders Database
- Must be current within 6 months of the start of placement
Standard First Aid certificate (or higher level[i.e., Emergency Medical Responder])
- Required prior to first class
- St. John Ambulance or Canadian Red Cross or equivalent
- Must be current within 3 years
(CPR) certificate
- Required prior to the first class
- Must be Basic Life Support (BLS) level
- Heart and Stroke Foundation or equivalent
- Must be current within 1 year
Minimum G2 licence required by start of program.
- An Ontario driver's licence (G2) is required for admission to the Paramedic program.
N95 Mask Fit test
- Required prior to the start of field placements in semester one
- Testing dates will be made available over the summer and early September
- Must be fit tested on a mask that is approved for use among paramedic services
- Must be current within 1 year
