Ontario Student Discount Cards and Programs

If you’re looking for discounts and deals on a wide variety of products from clothing to restaurants, a discount program is the way to go!

SPC (Student Price Card)

What is it?

SPC is a discount card that can be used at a number of different stores, in-person and online. The current subscription price is $11.99 a year. SPC+ is free, but it is exclusively for CIBC customers. Get exclusive access to over 450 discounts of up to 25% instantly (or 30% as an SPC+ member).

How do I get the discount?

Sign up on SPC’s website, and if you’re a CIBC member, sign up for SPC+ for free.

ISIC (International Student Identity Card)

What is it?

ISIC offers students the ability to instantly prove their official student status globally and get access to 150,000+ student discounts and offers in Food & Drinks, Entertainment, Travel and much more! The price of the virtual card is $20 for a student studying in Canada.

How do I get the discount?

Order your ISIC virtual card online and browse the online discounts page to find and select the deals you’d like. Some discounts are online only, while others require you to show your card in-store to get the discount.

UNiDAYS

What is it?

UNiDAYS is an online discount program that comes right to your phone in the form of an app. It is free for students and has discounts of up to 50% on everything a student needs from fashion and health to entertainment and technology. 

How do I get the discount?

Join the UNiDAYS program online to browse deals by category. Select the deal you want and the website will provide you with a discount code for that product. This program is free to join.

Student Beans

What is it?

Student Beans is a student discount program that has a variety of products and services, like fashion and entertainment. Get deals like 20% off popular brands or 80% off a trending product line for a limited time.

How do I get the discount?

Sign up for an account online for free and redeem discount codes to use in your favourite online stores.

Ontario Student Store Discounts

Groceries

Note: Many grocery store chains have eliminated or altered their student discount programs. These are the student discounts we were able to verify in August 2024.

  • Food Basics: Get a 10% discount on Tuesdays by showing your student ID at the till at either the Wonderland Rd. or Oxford St. location. 
  • Metro: Show your student ID at the time of purchase to get a 10% discount at participating stores any day of the week.
  • Real Canadian Superstore at Oxford and Gammage: If you have a PC Optimum card, show your student ID to receive 10% back in PC points.
  • Bulk Barn: Get 15% off at Bulk Barn every Wednesday by showing your student ID.
  • Take advantage of loyalty card programs at these stores: Loblaws, Real Canadian Superstore, Valu-Mart, Sobeys and Metro.

Driving School

  • Fanshawe Driving School: As a student, get a discount of up to 5% off one of Fanshawe Driving School’s course packages. A valid student ID is required.

Note: Always make sure to review and decide if a banking or financial choice is right for you.

  • Simplii Financial: Students earn up to $500 cashback when applying for Student Banking and sign up for a no-fee chequing account and a Simplii Financial CashBack Visa Card.
  • Scotiabank: Students can get unlimited debit, Interact e-transfer transactions, and earn Scene+ points on debit transactions plus welcome bonuses by signing up for a free student chequing account called Student Banking Advantage Plan.
  • BMO: Post-secondary students can open a student chequing account and apply for the Student BMO CashBack Mastercard. Plus, check out if there is a cash welcome bonus when you open a BMO Student Line of Credit.
  • CIBC: With a CIBC Smart Start (for students and youth under 25) or CIBC Smart for Students (for students 25 and older) bank account, students have no monthly fees, free unlimited Interac e-transfers and debit transactions in Canada, one free non-CIBC ATM withdrawal in Canada per month, and get a free SPC+ account.

Don't forget your FANCard

Bring your student ID card with you wherever you go. Many franchise locations have individual rules on student discounts (for example, some, but not all, Dairy Queen locations have student offers) so it doesn’t hurt to ask. If you’ve got your student ID, it’s always nice to save a few dollars.
