Desktop Publishing

Desktop publishers arrange text, graphics and images to produce effective print communication. Learn how professional graphic designers create attractive, persuasive brochures, ads, posters, and newsletters via computer-assisted design. This course examines the elements and principles of design, the fundamentals of colour, typography and photographic images, and the intricacies of printing technologies and dealing with commercial printers. It includes an introduction to imaging, graphics, and page layout software through Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
