This micro-credential will provide essential knowledge and skills when supporting a person living with Alzheimer's Disease. Students will develop an understanding of the cause, onset, progression, course, and common symptoms seen with Alzheimer's Disease, as well as understand supportive therapies. This micro-credential is suitable for formal and informal care providers, as well as any student entering into a health and social care field. Learning Outcomes: 1. Identify the core symptoms of dementia generally 2. Recognize the diagnostic criteria, cause, onset, progression, course, and symptoms of Alzheimer's Disease 3.
