Sports Taping - Microcredential

Learn introductory taping and wrapping techniques for the management of common soft tissue injuries (i.e. injuries to the ankle, knee, and wrist). Students will receive personal instruction from a regulated sport physiotherapist and hands-on practice time. This microcredential is targeted towards those working as team trainers, aspiring sport rehabilitation providers and strength and conditioning coaches. Learning Outcomes: 1. Identify the objectives and demonstrate the methods of taping and wrapping in athletic training 2. Identify common sports injuries 3. Identify how and when to tape (or not to tape) 4. Complete taping technique(s) in a timely manner Total class hours - 4
