Overview
Pre-Clinical Readiness IEN
This course is designed to evaluate the comprehensive health assessment and nursing skills of nursing students. It utilizes simulated clinical practice, simulation, and skills demonstrations to assess students' clinical skills, nursing competencies, and integration of prior knowledge, including best practices in nursing. In addition, students will have the chance to hone their abilities in developing therapeutic relationships, collaborating with interprofessional teams in a client-centered manner, making clinical decisions, managing time effectively, and organizing their work. Through a combination of self-study, skills stations, and OSCE testing, this course aims to help students build a foundation for success as they transition to practicing nursing in Canadian healthcare settings.
